BSB RD 3 Preview

Round 3 of the BSB season brings us to Brands Hatch more specifically the Brands Hatch Indy circuit. The Indy circuit is my least favorite of the tracks on the BSB calendar as its short layout tends to lead to processional racing with limited passing locations making overtakes few and far between.  Brands Hatch is Shane Byrne’s local track and over his career he has been extremely dominant at the track. Last Season James Ellison dominated this round claiming pole for both races winning both races and setting the fastest lap and new lap record over the weekend.

Weekend Predcitions:

I expect Shane Byrne to be extremely strong this weekend this is his local circuit and is seeming to be getting used to his new Ducati which will be worrying for his title rivals as he has already had strong results this season. Christian Iddon the current Championship leader will be looking for his first win to add to his 100 percent podium record so far this season the Tyco man has got to grips with his BMW fast and looks set to be a real title contender. Leon Haslam has showed his class and but for some bad luck could be in the lead of the championship he won the first race last time out and completed the weekend with a 3rd place in race two. Other riders to look out for this weekend I think will be James Ellison who got his title challenge back on track last weekend with two solid finishes after a disappointing round 1,Michael Laverty will also be looking to kick on from a solid weekend last time out he was hampered by the damp conditions and will be hoping for dry weather this weekend. The championship this season is so wide open this season that any one in the top 15 on their day can challenge for podiums and if its wet this weekend that opens up to the top 20 in my opinion, This makes choosing podiums very difficult and so I wont as it will make me look very daft.

So far the BSB championship has in my opinion provided the most top class racing not only in the Superbike class but also in the support series make sure you catch all the action this weekend times and places to watch listed below.

The races will be live and free on Quest TV on freeview channel 37,Sky Channel 144,Virgin 172 and You view Channel 37
