After 2 weeks away the British Superbike championship returns to racing, Last time out it was Shane Byrne who dominated winning both races in emphatic fashion extending his championship lead with his nearest rival Leon Haslam coming home second in both races all the time struggling to get his Kawasaki set up to race. The other top 6 contenders struggled through out the weekend and losing touch with Byrne and Haslam at the top of the standings.
The race this weekend will be around the Cadwell park circuit in the South of England in Louth, The circuit has an undulating nature this mixed with its difficult corners has given it the nickname of Mini-Nurburgring. The most iconic part of the circuit is without the doubt the Mountain a section of the track that allows bikes to get airbourne, Two of the riders with the best style over the mountain in recent memory have been Jonathan Rea and Josh Brookes both with extensive Motorcross backgrounds, Brookes espically made the mountain a place to pass.

Circuit Guide 2009:
As it stands it seems like Leon Haslam may be the only rider in a position to stop the charging Shane Byrne, A recent test seems to have let the JG speedfit team solving the issues that have been hampering all three of their riders in recent weeks which they hope will allow Haslam to close the gap on Byrne and push him in the races. The other top 6 riders have also been testing hard but the lack of consistency from them so far in the season has left them a little out of touch from the front two but all it will take is a couple back weekends from Byrne and Haslam to allow them back into the hunt. Glenn Irwin will also be hoping to pick up where he left off recently the BSB rookie has shown his true potential in recent races and his team will be hoping he can keep that up to take precious points of Byrnes title rivals.
Howie Mainwaring will suit up for the Epayme Yamaha team this weekend to fill in for Broc Parkes who has prior world endurance commitments.
Danny Buchan will return to the championship after his spilt with the Moto Rapido squad he joins the Tsingtao MSS Kawaski Squad this weekend.
Replacing Danny Buchan at the Moto Rapido squad is Stuart Easton who joins the squad after a successful test.
Former BSB champion Ryucichi Kiyonari was let go after a disappointing start to the season no replacement has been announced.
