Round 3 of the season and we make our first stop in Europe at the Aragon circuit which in located close to Alcañiz, Spain. The track was designed by famous German architect Hermann Tilke he has designed many of the new circuits on the F1 calendar, The circuit first hosted a round of the WSBK championship in 2011. The defining feature of the Aragon Circuit is the wall that is the back drop as the riders go through turns 14 and 15 and was even used as the inspiration behind the Moto GP trophies designed by Jorge Lorenzo last year.

The races last year were dominated by Chaz Davies the Welsh man seems to have a special affinity for the Aragon circuit in recent years, He beat out Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea for both races last year with the Kawasaki duo filling out the podiums in both races. From the early season form its looks very likely that we could have a repeat of this but Marco Melandri has shown he has the pace espically early in the race to fight with those three for the podium.

The Honda’s of Stefan Bradl and Nicky Hayden will be hoping to make a step closer to the front after struggling on the new Fireblade in the opening rounds, Alex Lowes meanwhile will be looking to build on what has been a great start for him he currently sits 4th in the championship. Leon Camier has also had an impressive start to the year on the under funded MV Agusta a couple of technical Faults have left him further down the championship table than his riding has warranted.
