So far this season it has been the JG Speedfit team that looks to have the advantage over the rest of the field with Luke Mossey and Leon Haslam taking each of the four wins Mossey doing the double last time out at Brands Hatch, Shane Byrne still hasnt got his 2017 campaign off the ground yet the 2016 champion could only score a fourth place finish in race one and unfortunately crashed out in race two, This has left him chasing not only Haslam at the top of the standings but also every rider inside the top six showdown positions and with a field as deep as BSB gaining places wont be easy.

Christian Iddon has also got his title challenge off to a strong start after a quiet winter where he and the team admitted struggling he has scored three podiums out of the first four races leaving him in third place in the championship ahead of Josh Brookes  and Peter Hickman both of who struggled slightly at Brands Hatch after having strong weekends at Donington Park.  Completing the top six at this early stage of the season is the ever impressive Glenn Irwin the Northern Irish man has had solid start to his season scoring good points but unfortunately just like his more experienced team mate he crashed out of race 2 at brands hatch.
